Stacey Solomon has shared an update about her Pickle Cottage kitchen renovations as she spent a day fixing up the room. The star took to her Instagram Story to show off the transformation.
“Me time,” she wrote as she sanded down a wooden beam. “Joe’s taken the kids out so I’ve got some me time! Me and Sandy [the electric sander] are out in the garden and I’m so excited I haven’t been able to get my DIY on in soooo long. I’m sanding this beam for above my sink in the kitchen.”
After sanding down the beam, applying wood wax and cutting it to size, Stacey drilled holes in the beam, hung it on the wall and filled the holes with wood shavings. As the star shared the results online, six-month-old baby Rose made a hilarious appearance in the ‘before’ photo as she sat in her high chair looking rather nonplussed.

In the ‘after photo’, Stacey’s dog Peanut also made an appearance as the Loose Women star showed off the results of hanging the beam. She wrote “I love it I just think it makes it flow with the rest of the house. The work surfaces and handles and plugs just for this corner went in today too!”
Stacey has been renovating Pickle Cottage since she bought it with fiancé Joe Swash in 2021. She’s been sharing the progress with her fans online as well as sharing frequent glimpses into her family life.
She lives in the gorgeous house with Joe and their children Rose and Rex, and Stacey’s children from previous relationships Leighton, nine and Zachary, 14 and Joe’s son Harry, 14.
